What is a good magazine spring/rebuild kit

After going through my collection of 1911 magazines, I realize I set aside over half of them because of FTF issues. So I thought I may as well get new springs and/or rebuild kits.

Went to Brownells site and decided to get a Shooting Star magazine conversion kit, a Wilson Magazine conversion kit, and a couple of Wolff magazine springs to see which I liked.

Should I look at swapping out followers as well or keep them? I point out none are original Colt or WWII USGI: One is a Britishicon Ballester-Molina magazine, two are Argentineicon Colt, two are Vietnam-Era USGI, and the rest are a mixed bag.

Before investing any time and money in the VN era USGI magazines, inspect the back of the magazines for cracks at the rear of the feeding lips. Rick

Cracks? Do you by chance have photos I can reference?

I plan on doing a mass clean-and-replace soon, will take a bunch of pictures

my experience is that wolfe springs are probably as good as they get. Wilson followers seem to get smoother over time. I've had a couple of wilson mags for years and I've never had a problem with them.
