That one's for real, 1 of 100, though not presently in its proper form. A Board of Ordinance and Fortifications rifle. They were evaluating a shorter barrel. Dick Hosmer found another one on gunbroker recently, it went for much less than this one. I had the other on my watch list, but I was looking for a receiver made in 1901 to put in a stock I had. The one Dick bought was made in 1902. I thought the 26 in barrel was just a cut off.
