A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. That one's for real, 1 of 100, though not presently in its proper form. A Board of Ordinance and Fortifications rifle. They were evaluating a shorter barrel. Dick Hosmer icon

found another one on gunbroker recently, it went for much less than this one. I had the other on my watch list, but I was looking for a receiver made in 1901 to put in a stock I had. The one Dick bought was made in 1902. I thought the 26 in barrel was just a cut off.
