I think this rifle was discussed in full on Gunboards. The rifle is a 1942 Remington M1903 that was customized sometime after it's military service by a former civilian owner. There is absolutely no chance it is a Style T, NRA Sporter or has any other connection with the DCM. (Except the small possibility it was sold as military surplus through the DCM sometime between 1948 and @ 1960).
I place the worth in the $250-300 range. As I recall in the Gunboards thread, the rifle was sold by the original owner as a "National Match", either through ignorance or guile.
