    New IP Carbine Question

I bought an IP barreled receiver from CMPicon in the 1777XXX range. It has a 4-44 Underwood barrel. Any thoughts on whether the barrel is original or a replacement? My guess would be that it is a wartime replacement barrel.

It is a replacemnt barrel. S'G' used that receiver most likely in the summer of 1943. S'G' ended production in December 1943 so an April 1944 barrel would be a replacement.
