Now the next question on from .22 Bolts.

Is it better to change the barrel or to sleeve the barrel to .22.
From a cost point, or any other point, with regard to it being a MkII or a No 4.

Been down this road many times. You will not find a CNo7 22 barrel unless attached to a receiver. I've advertised extensively for these and only came up with one in the past 5 years. It was very pricey! You may find a Brit barrel and then you will have to turn the shank back...done that as well. The most economical solution is to line any 303 barrel and turn off the bayonet lugs. You can set the headspace off the face of whatever 22 bolt head you have. An option is to have a barrel blank turned to No4 profile.......seen this done however it leaves a lot to be desired as the profile has to be "Bang on". Ron
