Correct Bolts a Question
I have a April 1943 Springfield that I am working on putting back to correct. (I used all the post war parts as donor items to a shooter Garand
built on a sandblasted/reparked receiver with very light pitting on the receiver legs.) My question concerns heat lots on bolts. As long as the bolt is a -12SA bolt what relevance does the heat lot play, if any? Or am I thinking too much.
Thanks,
MontaukTrl

I have a April 1943 in about as new condition as you will find, had it since 1975. Bolt is revision 12 heat lot S-04 <>

4th "sticky" down has a list of correct bolts.
I missed it the first time.
