    Machine gun ? bracket/adaptor/thingie ID

    Could some kind person please ID this bracket and tell me what gun it's off and what it's for please ?It's engraved 'MG 389 SA'

    Some better/clearer pictures and an idea of its size/length would help. Unfortunately the drawing number doesn't help, only a NSN will assist us via the Army Ordnance people

    What about material? A picture from the front end? Are the bracket bits dovetailed clamps?
