Please help me value Enfield No.7 Mk.1 (.22 Cal.)

I have a very very nice example and I am considering selling it. This is one of the approximately 2,500 built for the RAF and not the Canadian version. Although I believe it has been to Canadaicon as there are broad arrow marks on the stock. Will you all help me put a value to it?

I'll put it on the For Sale board after (hopefully) hearing various opinions.

    TIA Al

I submitted a reply and it went into the ether.

    Here goes my second attempt.

I've seen them for sale online, for sale not sold, for $1500. On the other extreme I know of at least one private party sale, all matching, for $500 with the transit case.

2011 Blue book says $1500 us for 100%. Dropping all the way to $700 for 60%. Add $250 - 350 for the chest. Subtract 40% if bolt head is missing. I always consider these prices as retail.

If i had to guess i would say $800 - 1000 would be a fair price for really good condition with a matching bolt......This uses the 50% Law of retail and all and adding in a little for the rarity.*

Yours is very nice, wood looks great, and really rare. With the wear to the metal finish and the miss matched bolt I would say $600 - 800.

I know where there is one made of spares and the guy wants $1,000.00 and think it is overpriced.

Your wood is superclean and to me a little strange the metal is showing the wear it is??

Personally I think in the range of 7 to 800.00 is in the game.

Wished you lived in Canadaicon as I am sure we could make a deal.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
