I had that site add NNY and others head stamps many years ago and they gave me photo credit.

Privi Partisan can have either the NNY headstamp shown above or a PPU headstamp.

PPU stamped rounds in 303 174 grain FMJ are sold in Australiaicon under the Highland brand by Highland Sports.

For a few years in the early-mid 1990's it was imported by Jay Hansen and sold under the Hansen Cartridge Co. label until the war in the Balkans dried up his supply. All I ever saw back then was headstamped NNY and had either a red or green primer sealer, none of the current PPU/NNY ammo is sealed that I've noticed. He also imported ammo made by Igman and IMI. The Igman stuff was headstamped 1K IIRC. I haven't came across any recently but a few years ago there was brand called Hotshot on the market bearing the PPU headstamp.

Other than having a boat tail, the PPU 174 gn .303 is very good.

"nny" is the Cyrillic equivalent of "ppu" and does NOT stand for "no, not yet". The "n" is actually a simplified "pi" symbol. See Saint Cyril, the Greek chap, who along with Methodius, introduced the (sort-of Greek-based) Russianicon / Serb / Bulgarian etc. "Cyrillic" alphabet.

Prvi Partizan Uzice: Good brass / ammo.

We used to use it in our Vickers MMG's. No problems with it at all. Mind you, we weren't hitting targets as such........... just 200x fig 11 targets a hillside 4k's away
