    Victory Model Grips

I have a Britishicon Lend Lease VM with serial number of V27XX which I presume to be an early one. The grips are checkered with the S&W logo. Is this correct for early versions? Were some shipped with the Civilian or Law Enforcement style grips?

Most VM pictures I see have the smooth grips.

    Thanks for any feedback.

Pistols till appx 12/41 were bright blued. Between 12/41 and about 3/42 , sandblast blue . After 3/42 , Pakerized.
This is noteworthy because the pistols before 11/41 wore checkered grips with medallions , after 2/42 , smooth grips. Between 11/41 and 2/42 , both were used.
So , most all blued guns wore checkered , some few late blued and all park'd wore smooth.
Serial numbers are hard to pin down. By 7/42 they were up to V 145000 though.
I'd say your grips are correct.
    Chris
