Sporterized 1917 Springfield ???

Curious about it and wondering what it is approx. worth?
There are no markings on the rifle except 30-06 stamped on the left side of the barrel.
I can post more pics if needed.

The major concern here is that the receiver markings appear to be scrubbed, in which case there would be no way of telling if this is a safe to shoot "high-number" '03 or one of the questionable "low number" rifles with the earlier heat treating. It has been pretty extensively "sporterized" so it's only real value would be as a shooter/cheap hunting rifle or as parts (a lot of people wouldn't take a chane on an unknown receiver so parts would be the bolt, rear sight, triggerguard/magazine assembly, and barrel) - figure $150 to $200

No number = illegal?

The gunsmith who did the job may have restamped the number underneath the waterline.
