First off, I'd like to say Hello to everyone and that I am very glad i was able to find your all's site.
Yesterday, I bought a nicely sporterized 1917 Eddystone at my favorite pawnshop after much online research about this particular rifle. I thought it would compliment my M1Garand.
Anyway, it appears as if it is an older sporterized rifle and whoever did the work to it, did a good job IMHO. Everything seems to be original except for the stock work and scope mount bases in front of the receiver. I find this rather puzzling since the scope bases are in front of the receiver and I didn't think they had long eye relief scopes back in the 50's or 60's. The scope bases, BTW, do not appear to be later add on's.
After saying all that, I will post my photobucket pictures since my computer skills are not as well as my wife's or oldest daughters

Any information about my rifle would be much appreciated!!!
Thank you!Information
