Snagged some French Ammo Today

No guns came home with me today but I got lucky on the MAS 49/56 front. Picked up another magazine for $10 and two full boxes of FNM ammo. Boxer primed and non-corrosive. Light blue box. Out of business but might be something to keep your eyes open for as they made several hard to get calibers. The box color really stands out.

Mixed with equal measures of a good eye and dilligance. I have not seen the 49/56 mags south of $25.
Glad Aragorn & Anzac15 do not live close to me. Don't think I would want to compete.

The guy had the magazine in a case with $15 on it. I was pretty sure it was a 49/56 magazine but not positive. I asked him if he knew what it was for and he said no, he got it in a box lot but a buddy said he thought it was French. That was enough for me, I offered $10 and he accepted right off. Asked me what I thought it was and I said I thought it was French as well but would be out $10 if it wasn't. Kind of hard to mistake the little lever on it but I'm not familiar with every magazine out there. The ammo was a nice surprise. Tried to get it lower but paid $20 a box and I figured that wasn't bad considering it can be reloaded and that type of brass is very hard to find, plus you can't seem to get any high power ammo for less than 20 a box unless it's surplus. Everyone wanted 75 cents a round for Turk surplus. It's crazy. I didn't see any guns that I was interested in. Prices seem to be going up again.
