    Question on Brazilian M1908

I have a Brazilianicon M1908 rifle, in the usual minty condition with muzzle cover and matching bayonet. However, the buttstock marking puzzles me. All of the ones I've seen have that B within a multi-pointed star stamped on the right side of the butt, but this one has a flag with a B inside it. It's a standard DWM production piece. Is this a mark for a different service within the Brazilian forces, or just a different inspection mark? I've included the star mark on my other 1908 for comparison.

I would imagine that it was a change in the inspector or a change in the Government at the time of production. Just a wild @$$ guess. Still that's a beautiful rifle!
