    Unusual HV Stamp Location?

Here are some pictures of the butt socket of my No.1 MK VI. Is the stamp on the upper right the High Velocity ammunition MK VII (HV) stamp?

Was this stamp ever discontinued? If so, when?

I would think that the HV (or SC) stamp would only be applied to the barrel ? also would think that any HV stamp would be visible when the rifle is assembled ?
