    Cartridge question.

    Evening Gents.

Looking through some old .303 cartridges tonight, I found one with a 1943 D / Z headstamp, and the bullet has the tip painted gold.
Painted bit is about 1/3rd of the exposed part.

Any ideas what this one is? I've not seen it before.

    Many thanks,
    Richard.

I had my daughter qheck out the colour of the nose, and she could see traces of Red. It appears the bullet jacket is much brighter still where the (Red) paint has come off, and this to me made the nose area look Gold.

Sorry for the false information in my post above!.....it's just a regular tracer.

    Richard.
