The end of the PF block seems to occur I/55. The rifles were in the Irish block. Last one in my database in 340,900 range. sealed rifles in that range have a packing tag of February and March of 1955.

There may be later PF 34x,xxx serial numbers. Capt. Peter Laidler makes reference to rifles in the Irish PF block being in the UK ordnance system, which is one of the reasons he doubts the full number of rifles were sent to Ireland.

In the database the range of PF 1/55 guns range from a low of 337,404 to a high of 340,900

When you get to the UF 55Axxxx range, the earliest packing date I have on a sealed rifle is March of 1955 in the serial number range A3887. Packing was not by date, for example A1000 through A1007 were packed in April of 1955, A4282 and A4283 were packed in March, while A4284 and A4285 were packed in April of 1955, and A 4269 was packed in May of 1955.

One of the notes I have says the "Irish contract was "PF309348-PF359347 Irish Republic" yet you are saying "1/55 guns range from a low of 337,404 to a high of 340,900", something seems not right? any idea why a 19000 difference? were they UF marked?

The last of the PF serial number sequence that has shown up in the commercial market are PF 340,900 region dated 1/55. The Irish sequence was not finished.
