    1903 Inspector Stamps

I'm talking to a guy regarding a 1903 with a 1918 barrel and 1918 serial range. The only hangup (the gentleman seems to be legit) is the inspector markings he sent me in a photograph.

    Attachment 82713

I cant fully read them despite the photograph's quality. He said the left marking is AAH, which I can't find in any reference. The right is JFC, obviously pretty well documented.

Any input? Its a big purchase for me, and while I'm wary of scammers this guy doesn't sound that way to me based on conversations.

The AAH is a Augusta Arsenal rebuild stamp (late/post WW2 period) and the last initial is the inspector

It is a fairly common stamp. This appears to be a nice '03, but not big money. What is the asking price?

Welcome to the forum, if you show us a collection of pics you can get a better opinion on your purchase...
