Another Type of Italian M4 Bayonet

I found three of these on the internet last summer and posted a couple of them then. I found this new one, the second from the left with a wood handle at the Oaks Gun show this past weekend.

I have not found any reference anywhere to these and found no examples on the net. Not sure what to make of it. It is 1955 dated while the other three are 1959 and 1960 dated so it is earlier. Also in unissued condition. The plastic handle ones are still available although the price has gone up.

The one on the right is an BM59 bayonet.

It has become rather expensive. Three shows, three guns and one bayonet. Then I had to find a holster for the first gun, brass for the third. Crap, I bought a parts rifle in those three shows also, and a large ammo can. Good thing the wife doesn't pay too close attention to math as that $450 I've been carrying around for the last month is still $450 and the first gun I bought was more expensive than that. She knows how much I spend, she just doesn't seem to notice my balance dosen't change.

Finally found one of the wood handled ones for sale online. Forget which dealer has them but they were asking $100 apiece and the example didn't look anywhere near as nice as this one.
