    Number 5 was John Garandicon's rifle that he kept in a safe. Notice the vertical cut behind the operating rod track - unknow why Garand made this cut. Art Tuttle sold the rifle to Pyle
    long time ago. Tuttle worked with Garand during the war years.

    According to the video number 5 was to be scrapped and JCG wanted so Art T. Built it back up for him - so it would not be surprising that it was not in its factory condition
