Joseph John Markowitz
Joseph Markowitz,89 passed away on October 29,2010. Born on June 29, 1921 in West Harrison,NY. Survivors include his wife Virginia of 64 years, a sister; Alice Lagonegro of Virginia Beach, VA, sister-in-law, Felicia of White Plains and over 200 nieces and nephews. Predeceased are his brothers, James, John and William. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army Rangers during WW II. He worked for Anchor Motor Freight in Tarrytown,NY for 35 years and lived his entire life in West Harrison. Visitation Sunday 4-9pm. Mass Monday 10am at St. Athony of Padua Church, West Harrison. Interment Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh-575 Hillside Ave., White Plains, NY.

Frank was a member of the United States Rangers, E Company, 5th Ranger Batallion. E Company landed on D-Day on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France
