M1A1 cheek piece leather.
I need the leather replaced on my M1A1
stock metal. Who does this work? Also need a new butt plate spring. Your assistance is appreciated.

Anybody else?? I tried contacting Ron Auck with no response. In addition to the butt plate spring, I also need a cover plate and tension screw. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There's a guy on eBay from France
that has some USGI parts for those, I believe. I got a bolt tool pawl from him and it was OK. I do see that he has some questionable slings now, though. Here's a link to one of his auctions: http://www.ebay.com/itm/M1-CARBINE-M...5#ht_577wt_777 - Also, you might check with SARCO, but not sure if their stuff is repro or not? - Bob

I have the proper rivet squeezer sets for the semi tubuar rivets. If you round up the components, I reckon we can put it together.

Might even use the old WWII Vultee factory pnuematic squeezer!
If it's not real expensive, round up TWO sets of leather and rivets. It might be a good time to remove old Mr. Lamar's name and social that's cut into the pad.

Heard you got some good trading fodder along with the stock!

The seller in France
who USGI listed the link to on Ebay, looks like he has the spring and the rest of the parts you need for your M1A1
stock.

I have some brack shoe rivets marking 7/4 if you need. I think some were used on the leather.
