Looking for Indian SAF Carbine 2A1 pictures

Does anyone have some good pictures of the Indian SAF Carbine 2A1 they could post here or email to me? I have only been able to find a couple of fuzzy images so far.

Not quite relevant to the Q Vince but photos of these are quite hard to source. My friend from darkest Devon went to |India and asked a railway guard if he could photograph his Sterling but he declined and slung it behind his back. At the next opportunity he tried the same ploy by asking NOT about the Sterling, but could his wife stand next to him for a photo. No problem....., but the gun went behind!

These guns have featured in an Indian Army training film (on You Tube) and recent programmes about the (pretty archaic) Indian Railways. I'm bound to ask whether anyone has such a beast. I have never heard of anyone owning one, even a dewat and when I was researching the subject a LARGE quantity dealer who had good contacts with Indian MoD disposals told me that he'd never encountered one for disposal either. That would appear to back up to the letter and honour the licensing agreement with Sterling that outside sales were not permitted but should be referred back to Sterling.

I seem to recall that the royalties free contract was for an initial 60,000 plus a further 15,000 a few years later

There is a youtube video where a soldier opens and closes the butt stock and also pulls the bolt IIRC.

The gun shown in the video and that shown by Vince is clearly the Indian interpretation of the silenced gun. The forward casing seems to be the standard casing diameter extended.

It looks like they use a full length thermal sleeve. There’s a band over it for the buttstock to lock into when it’s closed. Any ideal what the feature on the side of the band for?

It's hard to say, the rear sight is certainly longer to cater for the repositioned front sight.

and they are clearly are using a single recoil spring.

I watched the video again, I wonder if the external loop has been switched from the left side to the right side by re installing it reversed?
