Thanks, yes there are doubles and some not true correct to the period, but i had to put them somewhere. For example I have 3 other Lewis broken case extractor tools, all having different markings, but have only put one in the box. The others, like most, will be put away in a box, placed into some area of my shed, and never seen again until accidentally found or the kids are having a clean up when i am long gone.
As for the spelling on the box, not sure what period that this was marked, i would say later on in its life. FIELD or FILLED not sure, but spoke to a collector and there is no reason why it could not have been FILLED, but at a guess it should have been FIELD.
The owner of another Australian
box should be able to correct this or a CES list will confirm the correct title.

That happens. I will have ask a person that had seen the box when it was first sold out of a gun sporting store many many years ago and see if it was stenciled back then. If not, somebody has stuffed up there

Box or Boxes is just a play on words in the Army nomenclature system. Like WATCHES, wristlet, waterproof (that's the WWW that you see on the back of Army watches) or GUNS, Machine, Bren or RIFLES, 5.56mm Lxxxx
