I'd rather use brand new USGI or factory then Wolfe. They tend to be over strength. Have you tried polishing the chamber?

I had this very problem that I mentioned in post #11. I tried everything that I was told to try. I tried different mags different bolts, mag catches I even changed out parts in the Bolt. The feed ramp was find and I gave up. I don't remember who it was that mentioned it to me back then. I didn't understand how what somebody told me what the problem could be I left it alone. Then one day this friend came by who had Collected Carbines and I told him about the problem and he looked it over and asked for a Mag then he inserted the mag ( fully loaded) and he saw something that I didn't. He asked me for a small ball pein Hammer and did some very slightly tapping. It was the left side lip that sits on top of the mag. Can someone explain why it started working correctly after he did it this...all I can say is what he said. Some People when insering the Magazine they Palm Smack there Mag when inserting them and after doing this along time and if the mag catche is worn you will have feeding issues. Was he Correct ? The Carbine has worked just great ever since he did that.

****UPDATE*****
Polishing, mag changes, mag cleaning, ammo change, spring swap with another carbine and a host of other things and it (and the other carbine continued to work) started working. What made the difference? I really have no idea as a few trips to the range with ongoing failures and I decided to start over and the problem is fixed.
If I had to guess I say it was likely a combination of things but primarily newer parkerizing and lack of a complete lube. I took it completely down and cleaned/lubed and although it wasn't dirty, unusually dry or had any other problems it started working.
Thanks to all for the suggestions and support.
Sincerely,
Bob

Because you didn't try the repairs one at a time...now there's no testimony to confirm the fault. We all have no idea. Glad it works now anyway.

Guns like this - they really do. Your bolt was probably dragging in the receiver.

Especially since I started on the original Culver forum. That had to be about 1998.
