I've had this problem before on one of my Carbines and i just almost yanked all my hair out trying to figure out what was happening. One thing that did help I loaded only 14 Rounds and see how it fed from the left side of the mag and it started to work, but I knew there was still a problem. I even inspected the face of the Bolt just to see to see if there was anything wrong. If you can't find out the problem with what Jim or Bonnie just recommended I did finally find out what it was, but I had to do a little something not really what you should do, but I did it and it has worked ever since. I'll just wait to tell you after you tried everything first. I would have to take pictures and mark where the problem was. My friend came by to visit and i told him what im dealing with and he looked it over and fixed it in less than 10 minutes it's requires using a small ball pin hammer.

I would try another mag. It could be that the feed lips on that mag got bent down. The case won't release properly if that is the case and can cause that same feeding problem.

I would also check the mag release. It can also cause feeding problems.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

I guess you read the OPs question and just rushed to answer...if you check, he's tried several mags and I already suggested the mag release...so...

Polishing the chamber doesn't generally fix feed problems, at least not the kind that you showed us in your picture. Since you experience the problem with various brands of ammo and various mags, I think we can rule these out. So what's left...The bolt and the feed ramp in the receiver. Unless it's obvious that someone has modded the feed ramp, then that leaves the bolt. I would replace the bolt with a spare, or try one from another carbine (if you have more than one)and see if that corrects the problem. If you don't have access to a spare bolt etc., then disassemble your bolt if you are able, or get someone with the disassembly tool to do it if you can't. Re-install the stripped bolt and see if it will then feed properly without the extractor, firing pin and ejector. If it does, then there is an issue with one or more of those components. Usually, it's either the extractor or ejector if it's a bolt related feed issue.
Let us know what you find.

Ok, thanks everyone for the suggestions. I did pull it apart and cleaned everything and took it to the range. Still a no go. Measured the spring, it's fine. Mag fits well compared to my other carbines. I did notice a slight burr inside the receiver on the left side and cleaned it up but still a no go. I'll pull a bolt out of one of the other carbines that I know works fine and see if that gives us any clues. Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far. I'll update this thread, hopefully tomorrow.
Regards,
Bob

Anyone know if he got this straightened out?

Did he check head space, extractor, spring and plunger gummed up?

Hi Jim,
I m not sure if he's go to go or not. I stumbled upon this roaming thru some back threads.
I get a warm fuzzy feeling when we can be of help.
I just sent him a PM asking.
Guess we'll see......... hoping he didn't end up smacking it against a tree like I've been known to do back in my 'Fighting Anger Issues' days when younger!
Thx for the happy b day.

The problem I've been having is not feeding it's extracting. I've changed the return spring with a brand new Wolfe and replaced the extractor springs and still jam at least 2 out 0f 3 every mag using a variety of mags and ammo. Then I notice the recoil plate was loose and I haven't fire it since even though it's the sitting next to the back door waiting for that next suicidal deer.
