Argentine mauser
Hi Guys,
Are there any 1891 Argentine
rifles out there that still have a receiver crest?
Thanks

I've recently seen several 1891 carbines with crest intact.
Haven't seen any long rifles, but some guys claim to have one.

I think the recent import of 91's were all crested.

I have one,but it's been chrome plated for a parade rifle. Everything has been plated
except the barrel.

I don't have specific dates and numbers, but I can tell you that the first, and by far the largest batch imported were all scrubbed. Mine is one of these. Later a much smaller batch were imported and some of those had intact crests. I have never seen one with a crest. I wish I could find a carbine with a crest to go with my rifle. Great rifles, one of my favorite shooters.
