NOS unused 8-42 SA replacement barrel - What to do with it??
Hello Gents, well over the weekend I traded an epoxy bedded M1903A3/A4 post war replacement C stock for an unissued Springfield Armory 8-42 replacement barrel with the rear sight collar installed. I have not seen these in some years and I am debating with myself weather to start a project with it or sell it to fund other M1
/ M1903 accessories etc. Checking out the auctions it appears the only vintage M1903 barrels on the market are badly worn take offs, so I think it may fetch a fair penny if I thru it to the wolves. On the other hand, how hard would it be to come up with a reciever or an m1903 with a ruined barrel and hence build a top notch shooter? My current two M1903's have near new barrels as it is so I doubt I would ever need it for them. Any input would be great, as I am not sure which way to go.
Semper Fi, Rob

I would find an otherwise good "shooter" M1903 with a worn barrel and install it. As you said, you could make a pretty penny selling it to someone else with the same idea.
