I don't think velcro was deemed to be a suitable method of securing webbing.
We used it for decades with our '64 pattern webbing and that's a long trial...Peter's right. It wouldn't be suitable.

One thing that we haven't yet been banned from owning in the UK
are magazines.
(I left the mags in plastic bags when I tried them in the pouch to avoid getting oil on the pouch.)

Yup, look like 5.56 mags... You know it could be a middle east bring back. You find a lot of made to fit things like this that the insurgents carried. Not like they have a Wal-Mart there.
