Can anyone tell me the significance of a number marking on the proximal end of the LB bolt handle? It`s to the left of the serial number stamp. The Canadian Arsenal stamp is next to a number ( not part of the serial # ). On the bolt i have it is a 22 just below the Canadian Arsenal stamp.
I refer you the 1949 long branch no.4 mk.1 in the Knowledge Libraryicon of this site. Just click
Canadaicon and you can scroll down to find pics of the 1949 LB no. 4 mk.1 ( there are a ton of them ). On picture 23 you will see a close-up of the bolt handle where you can see proximally
the # 27 and the Canadian Arsenal stamp. What is the significance of the # 27 ??
Thanks for your help... Phil.
