Can anyone tell me the significance of a number marking on the proximal end of the LB bolt handle? It`s to the left of the serial number stamp. The Canadian Arsenal stamp is next to a number ( not part of the serial # ). On the bolt i have it is a 22 just below the Canadian Arsenal stamp.
I refer you the 1949 long branch no.4 mk.1 in the Knowledge Libraryof this site. Just click
Canadaand you can scroll down to find pics of the 1949 LB no. 4 mk.1 ( there are a ton of them ). On picture 23 you will see a close-up of the bolt handle where you can see proximally
the # 27 and the Canadian Arsenal stamp. What is the significance of the # 27 ??
Thanks for your help... Phil.Information
