    7.62 x 39 ammo

Stopped in the local gun store today and noticed cardboard boxes of 7.62 x 39 ammo so asked what was going on. Apparently someone (Feds) had a problem that the wood/metal cases did not have the little green boxes marked with the cal. of the ammo so they no longer allow it to be sold as before.

Old price for 1120 rds was about $199.00 or less depending on... with a great wood crate

New price for 1000 rds is $199.00 so you get 120 less for the same price, with a cardboard box.

Too bad and as usual gov't bureaucracy gets involved and things cost more.

The old wood crates were handy and admittedly the "can" inside was brutal at times to open but was good value.

Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
