    Re the .338" L115's (and it applies to the 7.62mm AW variants too as I understand it.....) the hook ended sling used on them have come in for a bit of stick recently so it seems as though they're going to revert to the old tried and tested clip ended slings which don't damage the fore-end plastic type material. But call me a old cynic, maybe it's a way of telling the manufacturer that we don't want your crap nylon type hooked slings, - we can just continue using up our already-in-stock decent webbing material clip ended slings.

    Re unbonding the chassis from the body........ I don't know what would do it or even a reason for doing so. They DO come unbonded in service use but not all that frequently. Maybe XL39 can tell us how they unbond them - if they ever do!
