I picked up a 1941 Spanish Bolo Bayonet the other day on ebay very cheap. The reason it was so cheap is that the muzzle ring has been cut off by Bubba. Otherwise, it's in pretty decent shape. It's been refurbished and has plastic grips which is a bit unusual from what I've been seeing on the market. The Toledo markings and serial stampings are strong.

I'm going to attempt a repair similar to the one recently done on the No 5 bayonet but in this instance due to the design and shape of the cross guard, I'm not going to make a new one but add to the existing. I have someone who can weld the steel in place of the missing muzzle ring.

What I need to know is the dimensions of the muzzle ring. How high off the blade is the top of the ring, how high off the blade is the center of the hole and what is the diameter of the hole. If the dimensions are the same as those on the earlier Spanish bayonets, I have one of them and can measure that. Shape I can probably estimate from photos. If this is successful, I'll probably post some photos of the process. If it is not, I may convert it into a knife by filling in the holes in the pommel. I'd rather not go that route though.
