More Questions About My No.4 Mk.1

just when i think i've asked them all, more questions make themselves apparent.

    question 1:

down the left side of the top of the receiver on my 6/42 Fazakerley made No.4 Mk.1 is stamped "SYK"; any ideas what that means?

    question 2:

the bolt on it matches the serial number on the left wrist band. but preceding the serial number on the bolt appears to be a Savage "S". i know Savage made barrels for the UK in the early stages of the war when the Luftwaffe was destroying factories in Englandicon (this rifle has a 2 groove barrel that is one of those), so my question is, did the US make and supply bolts too?
