Checking to see if anybody to owns a T/C rifle has had problems with "soft strikes" on the primers so the cartridge doesn't fire!

Had that happen to me 3xs out of 6 attempts. Used commercial Hornady .308 SST. Cost me a 12 point buck as I could only "aim and click"! Re cocked the bolt several times but to no availl.

I field stripped the bolt in the 20 degree weather but could not find any ice, foreign object, or cold grease. Both on the pin and the spring. The "soft strikes" later went off after two attempts and one refused to fire at all even with a deeply dented primer.

Hornady says it is the rifle and my gun smith friend says that several people have brought in their T/Cs with that problem or related ones. Waiting to hear back from T/C. Thanks
