Savage No. 4 (T) Scopeless stamps?

I sometimes wonder about the 100 No4(T)s which are stated in The British Sniper by Skennerton to have been set up at BSA Shirley either before or concurrently with H&H starting their production.

Probably there is no way to identify these rifles now, and probably the chances of many of the surviving from so early in the war until now are small.
