    Worn / Damaged Crown

    There are a lot of Enfields with worn or damaged crowns, and owners looking to counter-bore or re-barrel - is it necessary ?

    Here is an interesting article suggesting that maybe it is'nt always necessary

    Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...
