You'll get the phone book on the blade plus accuracy debate...Peter Laidlericon published a few things here a bit ago about shooting with bayonets on and how it adversely affected things, I can't recall exactly. We shot with them on regularly and I never saw a difference either.(FN's) Maybe we just couldn't hit anything anyway...

And yes, now you need the correct sling and cartridge belt, clips per rifle, cleaning gear, grenade launchers...on and on...
