Picked up a garand SA GAW stock to go with my 1944 late receiver. I had a new CMPicon stock but did not look right all new and shining. So have been looking for a while. One question on the Cartouches. This one on the bottom of the pistol grip what is it fore/meaning?

Some other pics just for fun.

I know the SA GAW =Springfield Armory / George A. Woody
The cross cannon = ordnance acceptence?
Circle P = proof shot.
Small ordnance with cannon on pistol grip =?

Makes the garand look so much better. I like the dings and nicks.

Thanks
