I bought a 4.66 million Quality hardware that was partially correct, but it had a few odd parts in the trigger group. It had a BE-B marked stamped / brazed trigger housing. I think Ruth's War Baby lists some transfers of trigger housings from IBM to Quality Hardware. The odd thing about this trigger housing is that it is blued, kind of a dull blue not a really light buffed type commercial blueing. I have been told by some carbine gurus that know more than I do that some early IBM trigger housings were blued because IBM was having problems with parkerizing at the start up of operations. I have not found any written documentation of this. It really doesn't look like a bubba commercial bluing.

Two questions:

Has anyone else heard of early IBM trigger housings being blued or Dulite finished?

If so, does anyone know what time frame or serial range IBMs might have had these 'blued" trigger housings?

I was thinking of using this trigger housing on an early IBM, but didn't know where it might fit.

Thanks for any insight.
