    Nice pics Cinders of the vast countryside. I must have said it a thousand times but us Europeans, especially the poms, simply cannot even imagine the sheer size of Australiaicon. The safety and survival aspects of desert/bush travel was always drummed into us. Minimum of 3 vehicles, stick to the laterits dust roads (tracks?), cover and compasses. So big that we even conducted A bomb testing in SA. While I was there the UKicon RE's were clearing out the maralingra A bomb ranges. Used to meet up with a few of them, especially the REME blokes, in QLD/Enoggera on R&R. I hope that they all got the newly issued Atomic Test medal
