1903 Springfield Special Target

Hello I have a 1903 Springfield 1269271 that I believe is a Special Target model. This rifle has a 7-25 dated star marked barrel and when I did my own serial number look up it had the letters ST behind the serial number but I ordered a letter from SRS and it says service type rifle. I also own rifle 1266635 which has a 4-25 star marked barrel also with the ST suffix and it letters as a Special Target rifle. It took almost 10 months to get the letter and the copy of the original sales card that would have had the model of rifle shipped was not included when I inquired about the sales card I was told it did not exist. Original Special Target rifles seem to be fairly rare so I am really curious what this rifle really is Thanks Dave
