    At this time we should remember ..........

    ...... what happened four years before D-day.

    From May 26th to June 4th, 366,162 men, inculding 139,911 allies, were lifted from the beaches of Dunkirk. These formed the basis for the army the allies landed on the beaches of Normandy.

    These times should be remembered and considered for without the recovery of these men, there would have been no D-Day.

    Three books that I have deal with these day's. Each in their own way follows a different narrative.

    "The Sands of Dunkirk"
    Richard Collier

    "The Miricle of Dunkirk"
    Walter Lord

    "The Nine Days of Dunkirk"
    David Divine
