IIRC, the first run, the WMK 01911 Carbonia Blue model, was limited to 4 or 5 thousand, can't recall for sure. I have one, and it's gorgeous! A fine piece of work, it is. The 01918 model in Black Oxide is still in production.
There was also a run of WWII reproductions of the M1911A1, but they didn't sell too well due to some "inaccuracies" that the collectors scoffed at. I have one of those too, I think there was under 3000 of those made.
