For the interesting post and the pics to go with it!! Did you notice some of the arms pictured on the wall of the establishment might well be NFA items ?? Maybe they are on a C&R list nowdays, I don't keep up with those things much. I haven't been to V'burg for a visit since early 90's when the kids were young and needed to see what it was all about. Was that "ironclad" a newer exhibit? or an ongoing one? I remember a "gunboat" that was more of a restoration than anything else. They had salvaged the iron parts, engines / boilers / etc., but all the wood was new production to "restore it".
