Thanks for the explanation OK. For a moment, I thought you had got a source of production info!
The test target idea is good - if anyone else has test targets to go with their Brazileans and the information could be correlated, that would be a very good way of at least narrowing down the production time ranges.

OK, that is an excellent piece of paper. As the proof target was presumably the final test (i.e. after that test, the rifle was ready for delivery), then it dates the rifle more accurately than most factory records (even if they had not been destroyed.
I say it again, if any other 1908 owners out there have these dated targets, it would be very helpful if you would post the dates/numbers, so that the rest of us have a rough framework to go by.
