Here is two M44's dated 1943....and yes, both receiver tangs are also dated 1943. These two are number 5 &6 for November.![]()

Nice looking pre-war BSW. I like the gothic eagles they usedSo are these latest RC's all mixmatched except barrel and receiver like the last batch with crude EP renumbers, or are some other parts matching on the latest batch?
Here's my latest snag... dunno if it will arrive in November, but it should have shipped yesterday or sometime today... and no, it didn't appear on any seller's websites
Wartime Tula PU ex-sniper. I already have the mount, rings and real scope (not a recent repro) so setting her right should be pretty easy...

Well here is #3 for November, a 1947 Fazakerly made No. 5 Mk.1. It's condition is about 99.99% and it's all matching, it also hasn't been FTR'd.
Number 4 and 5 should be here soon..... I'm waiting on two 1943 dated Mosin Nagant M44's.......I'm running out of places to store these things.![]()
My 2A1, I may replace the butt because it is too dark, what do you think? What does the "S (arrow) A" on the butt stand for? Everything is parked but the nose, which is a good old Mk.III cap.

It's Ishapore Small Arms. Don;t replace it - that's the correct buttstock.

Here's a couple pics of that Tula Hex M44 I got earlier this month.
Tula only made M44's for a very short time in 1944 and produced fewer than 100,000 of these carbines (compared to 7.66 million made at Izhevsk). VERY few of those 100,000 would have had hex receivers. It's not known why some hex's were used, but it can be reasonably guessed that older receivers from irreperably damaged pre-1936 rifles were used at Tula as a stopgap to hit production targets from time to time. This one has only a Tula star and 1944 on the underside of the tang, so it's impossible to tell what the receiver's history is/was before Tula remarked it in 1944.
In any event, this is a pretty rare SovietMosin. Did I mention non-import marked, not counterbored and the bore is perfect?

Another Mosin, for November.....I blame Claven2 for this sudden Mosin Nagant spending spree....at least three more coming.
Not bad for $175.![]()
