Even more confusing... did Hitler's Henchment invent a time machine so they could visit 2006 and buy reproduction K98kslings from Marstar?
Also, note the pretty extensive pitting that's not very well hidden by that fresh coat of tremclad on the mag.
Does this polish job on the rear sight tang look just a little too perfect given the finish wear to the phosphate job on the rest of the metal?
I'm probably wrong, but does that WaA on the butt look a bit soft and rounded under the varnish? Surely bubba didn;t sand it too, did he?
Remember, this is supposed to be a late-war stock, fresh off the lathe with ZERO finish on it...
The mount does have a serial number. Note it doesn't match the rifle and the scope is un-numbered. Care to guess how that might of happened?
Wow! Look at that factory fresh blueing on the scope ring bands! They sure put alot of care into manufacturing and finishing metal once the allies crossed the Rhine, didn;t they? Err... wait... I think I have that backwards...
Nice rifle, but I'll keep my $7495. Maybe if it was priced around 3K I'd start doing bank account math on a napkin...
